8 Months

Michaela sits on her own very well now, she scoots backwards and moves in circles on the floor. She waves hello and goodbye, not sure she knows exactly what it means but it is extremely cute. She has her 2 front bottom teeth and they do not seem to bother her at all, she actually likes to show them off!

First Halloween

We had a great party with friends and then went out visiting neighbors in the evening, Michaela was the cutest elephant around!!!

Trip back East in October to see the family, Thanksgiving, cottages and fun with friends.

6 months

Michaela had her 6 month check up and she is doing very well, she is 26" and weighs 15 pounds, 11 oz. We tried sweet potatoe today for lunch and she seemed to like it. Michaela has now tried my homemade squash too.
Michaela has been rolling from front to back for a while now, but just yesterday September 21st she rolled from back to front!! We have started all our classes as well, baby yoga, salsa babies, library lap time and kindermusik. We are having lots of fun!

6 months - Jogger

Pete and I are very excited about our new jogger stroller for Michaela. Pete jogs with Michaela and Jasper, while I ride my bike. She is 6 months and getting more and more active. On the long weekend we took Michaela to the zoo with Cousin Adam, she really liked the elephants.

Solid Foods

Yesterday Michaela tried organic rice cereal, not that big of a fan. Next we will try the oats and barley cereal and see what happens. Soon on to veggies and fruit, exciting stuff. We will keep you posted...

Also just some updated cute shots of our beautiful Michaela....

Jasper Weekend - Aunty Christa's Bday

It was Michaela's first time seeing the mountains. We went to celebrate Aunty Christa's 30th Bday, wow is she getting old!!! We had tons of fun, we went on a long hike and Michaela fell asleep right away, it must have been the mountain air. Daddy and Andrew went golfing and Michaela watched her mommy and Aunt get pedicures. We had a great time and she was a fantastic little traveller.

Teething!

Michaela is teething and loves to put anything in her mouth, including her foot! Her favourite toy right now is Sophie the Giraffe, she can put her legs and her whole head in her mouth. This toy has been around since 1961 and I am sure I had one when I was a kid, Mom???

Jolly Jumper

At first Michaela was a little hesitant, today she was feeling better about the jolly jumper, however she was more interested in Jasper. In time we are sure she will love it!!

Salsa Baby!

Michaela and Mom joined baby salsa and we love it!! We signed up for 2 classes in the fall, Michaela usually takes a nap for half of the class and the rest of it she smiles to the music and watches the other moms and baby's salsa dance, cha cha cha!!!

Goldeneye Lake, near Nordegg

Dad and Michaela enjoy a quick dip in Goldeneye Lake, near Nordegg, AB. We were in the area visiting one of Outland's planting camps.

Third Month

This was an exciting time as we went back east to visit family!! Gramps flew all the way to Edmonton to help fly back with Mom and Michaela. Daddy had to stay home and work in Edmonton, we missed him a lot, but it was fantastic for Michaela to meet everyone. This included her Great Grandad George, Granny Barb and her Great Grandmother Alice. Also Uncles and Aunts and Cousins, it was filled with tons of fun!!

Second Month

Michaela was a sensitive baby, she usually got upset from about 5pm to midnight, which lasted about a month. This was a learning experience for Mom and Dad!! She became more and more alert. She loves to smile and her eyes are big and beautiful. She is daddy's twin! Michaela had her 2 month immunizations and did very well, she weighed 12 pounds and 12 oz and was 23.5 " long.
